How to secure your Twitter account without paying for Blue
Twitter's SMS-based two-factor authentication is now only available for Blue subscribers. However, there are alternative options for securing your account, such as an authenticator app or a physical security key.
Open the Twitter App.
Hit the profile icon in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, and choose Settings and Support > Settings and Privacy.
Click Security and account access > Security > Two-factor authentication.
Choose the Authentication app, and enter your password if prompted.
Link the app to your Twitter Account.

Meta Asks Users to Pay for Verification Following Twitter Move
Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta announced on Sunday that you need to pay for the blue tick on your Instagram and Facebook.
Meta now offers paid verification for Instagram and Facebook at $11.99 per month on the web and $14.99 per month on mobile. The paid subscription provides a verified badge, increased visibility, prioritized customer support, and other benefits. The feature is first being launched in Australia and New Zealand and will soon expand to other countries.
