SpaceX prepares for a massive test this week: Firing all 33 Starship engines at once
Gwynne Shotwell, President of SpaceX, stated on Wednesday that the firm intends to try a major Starship milestone this week.
On Thursday, SpaceX will attempt a "static fire," testing all 33 engines at the base of Starship's rocket booster at the same time.
Tomorrow will be a significant day for SpaceX," Shotwell said on Wednesday at the FAA's annual Commercial Space Transportation conference in Washington, D.C.

Opinion: I hate reading the 4000 article. If there is any customization, such as Bold, Italic, Headings, and other choices, it appears polished, but it is only half-baked.
Disney Plans to Cut 7,000 Jobs, $5.5 Billion in Costs
Disney announced plans to shed 7,000 positions and save $5.5 billion as part of a massive organizational restructure that would give more control to the company's content leaders and place a larger emphasis on sports media.
TikTok Food Delivery
On Wednesday, ByteDance (TikTok Parent Company) told CNBC that it has been testing a form of food delivery service in China through its short video app Douyin, possibly putting itself against large e-commerce businesses like Alibaba and Meituan.
According to a Douyin spokeswoman, the business is "trying a feature in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu that allows merchants to promote and offer 'group-buying' packages to Douyin users in these select cities and have them delivered."
Alibaba making its own AI rivalry for ChatGPT
Alibaba has announced the development of its own ChatGPT-style service, making it the latest digital titan to join the chatbot bandwagon.
"Frontier innovations such as large language models and generative AI have been our [focus] areas since the formation of DAMO in 2017," an Alibaba (BABA) spokesperson told CNN in a Thursday statement, referring to an acronym for the company's research arm that focuses on machine intelligence, data computing, and robotics.
